Our classroom couldn't have been more poetic or breathtaking. We learned from the lovely Ms. Gaitskill in front of a great spacious bay, the smell of pines all around us and a scattering of birds filling the sky. It was a majestic experience. Truly humbling...
This is my second time at the Tomales Bay Workshops and this time, I took a literature and craft course with Mary Gaitskill, author of Veronica, Don't Cry, Bad Behavior, and Because They Wanted To. We focused on imager and mystery and I learned a great deal from the most noble of authors - Nabokov, Chekov, Porter and contemporaries Alice Munro and Haruki Murakami.
